Gutterpress 0.11.14: keep extensions up to date
Released 2026-10-06.
Extensions in Gutterpress are pinned to an exact version and vendored into your book, so a book always builds offline from the copy it was tested with. This release makes it easy to move those pins forward when you want to.
Two new commands
gutterpress ext outdatedcompares every pinned npm extension with npm'slatestand exits 1 when one is behind, so it works as a CI check.gutterpress ext updatere-pins the outdated ones (or one, by name) to the latest version, through the same download, verification, vendoring and load-test path asext add. The entry'sexport:andenabled:settings are kept.
Neither command runs during a build or preview.
In the desktop app
The Features tab checks npm when you open it, shows the newer version beside an entry with an Update button, and has Check for updates.
Fixed
Re-pinning an extension now removes the previous version's folder under
plugins/npm/<name>/ instead of leaving it for you to delete by hand.
